THE TWENTY is Houston’s first BMX only mass ride. We’ll be meeting at Liberty Station on Washington Ave for this first ride and ending at the same place. Liberty loves bikes. We’ll figure out a route before taking off, which will most likely include a few stops to session and throw down some tricks. If anyone has any suggestions, please post them here on the wall. Fiksd Apparel, with the help of some local bmx riders is organizing and hosting the first BMX only mass bike ride in Houston,Tx on September 16, 2011. With the rise in organized mass bike rides in the city and around the country, we’re seeing this trend lead into specialty rides, one being bmx only riders. There’s a group in Hollywood, CA doing a ride once a month with some 200+ riders showing up every time. We hope to follow suit with what we are calling “The Twenty”, a play on 20″ bikes by the way, for you slow ones. ha.

More details are to come, including the meeting spot and times. We’ll stick to the standard times that the Houston Critical Mass rides take place which usually start around 7pm. Our plans for this first ride will be a casual ride through the city, a couple of planned stops at either some shows or parties, and a final stop at a select location where we’ll host a small jam and party.
